March 2013

We finally had a couple of nice days in March. Thank Goodness, we really needed some outside time. We were all going stir crazy. It is amazing how much energy four 4 year olds can keep bottled up over the coarse of a few months.

We took the kids to Kindergarten Round-Up in March. It was a very sad time for me.
I am not ready to send them off to school. I know this will mark a huge change in all our lives
and I am just not ready to turn them over to someone else.
I love being with them everyday and I am really going to miss them when they go.

We have been doing Pre-School at home to get them ready for the transition.
They LOVE it!

Our amazing little Preemies are growing up so fast.  It is unbelievable that we are getting them ready to start school. How did this happen? I love them all so much and I cherish every single moment that I get to spend with them. Even though we are sad to see this phase of their lives come to and end we are so excited for every new experience they will encounter!

February 2013

In February we celebrated my Niece's Birthday! We love being closer so we can celebrate special occasions with family.

I have the weirdest kids EVER!
I surprised them with colored pancakes. Each one of my kids has a color that they have had since they were very small. I decided to make them pancakes in their colors...two of them refused to each them. They wanted NORMAL pancakes.  Really????

I loved their colored pancakes.

I knew they would combine power to gang up on Chris and I but
I did not think it would start this early. They are in our room snooping on our dresser. Why on earth would they even care what is up there anyway?

Climbing on Henry to check out what is on my dresser.
The kids had their very first Happy Meal.

Even though they were not too thrilled about the food, they did like the toy!

January 2013

In January we moved into a new house. When the kids were just over one year old we moved to Southern Alabama for a couple of years. We moved back to Indiana Just before they turned 3 but were several hours away from our families. Last year in February we moved just over an hour from families and our home town. In August Chris lost his job due to downsizing of his Company shortly after my Dad had his second surgery to remove Thyroid Cancer. After a few months we decided that we really wanted the kids to grow up having a closer relationship with my family so we started looking at houses closer to them. We found a home that was only 6 years old within a block of my Dad's house, it was perfect for us!

Settling into our new home.

Roasting Marshmellows...

The kids pretending to roast marshmellows on the heaters in the garage.

We were going stir crazy so we let the kids ride their bikes and scooters in the garage.
This was a huge lifesaver on those oh so cold winter days!

We have done a lot of crafts this winter. The kids love to cut color draw and play with stickers and it is a great activity when it is too cold to go outside!

Happy Birthday, JESUS! 2012

Every year we have a Birthday Party for Jesus. We explain to the kids that Jesus is the Reason that we exchange gifts. Jesus loves us so much that he wants us to give all of His Birthday gifts to other people that we love. We always make Him a cake and sing Happy Birthday to Him! I think it is a great way to get the kids to understand what Christmas is really all about.

Jesus' Birthday cake.
This year the kids are big enough to help me decorate the Birthday Cake!

Happy Birthday, Jesus!

We really try to take the focus of Christmas off of the gifts and on to the Birth of Jesus.
It is so amazing to watch are kids growing in the understanding of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

We are so blessed!
