Family Photo Fun!

I have been wanting to get some family photos done for quite a while. We really want to have some done professionally but it seems like there is just not enough time and Chris's schedule is very unpredictable these days. So, we asked my Mom to meet us at the park to snap a few group shots. Every parent knows it is a challenge to get a good group photo. I bribed the kids and told them they could play as long as they wanted but when it was time take the pictures they had to come quickly with NO crying or pouting! Believe it or not it actually worked. We would snap a pic here or there and then gather everyone up for a group shot! It turned out to be a pretty fun day. Without the stress of a formal family photo session! Plus we were not on a time clock so it was more relaxed and no one was stressed at all!

In my head this would have been a great picture...IN MY HEAD!

This is my FAVORITE!

Ok so even though there are about 10 different shots of this one, NONE of them are good! Ha.
You win some and you lose some...this is definately a LOSS!

Sometimes they work...Sometimes they don't! There is really nothing more to say! Haha!

New Bikes!

We had a couple of really nice days a week or so ago and we spent them outside. We thought that our deck would be big enough to teach the kids how to ride their bikes but they caught on quickly and we are constantly running after them to keep them from going over the edge. They have not quite mastered the brakes yet!

We picked the boys bikes. We chose one that seemed sturdy and would grow with them.

The girls saw the princess bike and that's all she wrote. They wanted that one and there was no changing their minds.

When we bought the bikes we only purchased 2 (one boy and one girl). We had gotten them 2 scooters about a week before and decided that since there would be little time left this year that they could ride them, we would wait and get the other 2 next year. Odds are there will not be many bike ridin' kind of days left this year!

Learning to ride.

As we start to see much cooler weather our outside time is getting very limited. We recently purchased the kids 2 scooters and 2 bicycles. They picked up on them really quickly and love riding them.

I am so dreading the cold weather lock down. Our house always seems so much more insane when we cannot get outside and run off our energy and enjoy the fresh air. I am planning LOTS of crafts and games and learning this winter. Lets hope it will keep us from totally going nuts!

Sean's Babies!

Sean is my sweet little Daddy.
He loves his babies. We bought these bears for the kids before they were born and Sean has loved them always. I walked into the kitchen and found him feeding his SIX babies. Yes, six.
I guess it isn't totally off the wall I mean it is normal to my kids to have four babies at the same time so is six really a big stretch...for a 4 year old?

Story time with the babies.

Henry, DO NOT touch my babies.

Sean is going to be a great Dad someday!
This kid seriously cracks me up!
He is one of the most loving huggable sweet little guys I have ever known.
He care so much about other people, it is amazing to see his caring loving nature.

Fall Fun at Conner Prairie!

We are so lucky to be so close to so many great family fun places. We visit Conner Prairie for their Annual Headless Horseman Event. There were games, food, haunted hayrides, music, story time, and much much more. Needless to say it was fun for all of us!

These kids love to run! Any opportunity for some good old fashioned sprinting and they are all in!

Our kids are not big sweet eaters. Because they were premature we have always tried to get them to eat the healthy stuff to make them grow. We have recently started letting them try some not so healthy foods. This was their very first Elephant Ear and Pumpkin Roll.
Sophia would not even taste it. She wanted some wheat crackers.
Edi and Henry liked the Pumpkin Roll and Sean ate about 3/4 of the Elephant Ear.

We have done so much stuff lately the kids wake up every morning and ask me what fun thing we are going to do today. I think it is time to take a little break. It is getting cold outside and Mommy is getting very tired. :o)  It is great that the kids are old enough to enjoy doing things but man is it a lot of work. It is still a little stressful when we go places. It is nerve racking to try to keep track of them in a crowded place. We usually dress them in the same color so we can see them more easily. It doesn't really work though when they all have coats on. I have often though about tying balloons to them so that I could spot them easily when necessary...I know I know it sounds crazy but it just might work! ;o)
